Intro to AG

(for grade 9-12)

Intro to Agriculture is specifically designed to prepare students for taking all agricultural courses and participating in FFA throughout high school. The course will revolve around the FFA organization, defining and beginning SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) programs, and describing the importance of agriculture in everyday life. The students will spend part of the year studying the history, components, and opportunities of the National FFA Organization. As the year progresses, students will be introduced to procedures used to conduct meetings and develop skills in other CDE (Career Development Event) areas. Special time will also be given to look at animal science, plant science, ag power and technology, and natural resources. FFA membership is highly encouraged.
